A hierachy is a pecking order. It assumes some people naturally have more power than others. This is not a rock solid truth but it can seem that way when it is being played out again and again. It can seem like reality when the fabric on which society plays is tarnished with the hang over of a fiercely patriotic past. A past built on slavery, spawning the industrial revolution, tied with a thick bow of Monarch rule, informed by religious dogma. A past that systematically sidelined women, certain races and anybody that sings even a slightly different tune.
Nowadays the structures that we are schooled in, work in and die in are still stained with this outdated hierarchy. This is not good or bad it simply creates certain results. Results that are no longer serving and are cutting off possible solutions to the complex problems facing us today. In order to enable every person to access their own inner resources that will enable the outflow of creative thinking that is desperately needed right now, the illusion of hierarchy within each person must be dissolved.
